Why Choose Acorn Nursery?

Choosing a nursery is one of the most important decisions for any family.
The quantity and quality of information available varies from place to place, making direct comparisons difficult. At the end of the day, the “right” choice depends upon your own personal priorities, your first impressions of the environment, the quality of the staff, and the experiences shared by other families.

British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Our learning framework is guided by the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ensuring a well-rounded and child-centred early education.
The EYFS focuses on key areas of development, including:
By combining the structure of the EYFS with Reggio Emilia principles, we offer a balanced approach that nurtures the whole child.
We support children at every stage of learning from 2 months to 4 years.

Acorn Open House

At Acorn Nursery, Riyadh, our Open House was a meaningful opportunity to bring families into the heart of our Reggio Emilia-inspired approach and share how we understand early childhood as a rich and significant stage of learning, exploration, and identity-building. Throughout the event, families experienced environments thoughtfully designed to encourage curiosity, communication, creativity, and collaboration. From open-ended materials to children’s work and carefully considered learning spaces, each element offered a glimpse into how children construct knowledge through relationships, experiences, and their own ways of expressing ideas—the many “languages” of childhood. It was a reflection of our belief that children are capable thinkers and active participants in their learning, and that our role as educators is to listen, observe, and create conditions in which their ideas can flourish.
More than an introduction to our nursery, the Open House became a shared experience between children, families, and educators. It gave parents an opportunity to see the thinking behind our practice, meet the people who nurture their children each day, and understand how our environments become an integral part of the learning process. At Acorn, we value these moments of connection because meaningful early education is built not only within the classroom, but through strong relationships between children, educators, and families. We are grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make the Open House a warm reflection of our community, our values, and our commitment to creating a place where every child feels seen, heard, respected, and trusted.

We Empower our Educators to nuture Growth for Your Child

At Acorn Nursery, we believe that great teachers shape great learners. Our team recently participated in the International Study Group Conference in Reggio Emilia, Italy—receiving in-depth training from the world’s leading experts in early childhood education. This immersive experience sharpened our skills in creating responsive, child-led environments that value curiosity, creativity, and collaboration.
This training directly impacts your child’s experience at Acorn. From enhanced classroom settings to more thoughtful engagement strategies, our educators are now even better equipped to support each child’s growth, confidence, and love for learning.

We Celebrate Every Child’s Journey — Together

At Acorn Nursery, our End of Term Party wasn’t just a celebration—it was a powerful reflection of the growth, creativity, and individuality of every child.
This special day gave our young learners a moment to shine, as they proudly showcased their artwork, shared their learning journeys, and displayed the projects, stories, and experiences that have shaped their term. Every wall, every corner, and every smile told a story of curiosity explored, friendships formed, and milestones achieved.
We were delighted to welcome families into our space, where they could truly see their child’s voice, effort, and imagination come to life.
Highlights from Our End of Term Celebration
At Acorn, we honour the process—not just the outcome. This celebration reminded us that the smallest steps often carry the biggest meaning. Here’s to every child’s journey—and the joy of walking it together.
Our Philosophy

Reggio Emilia Inspired Approach

The Reggio Approach is not a recipe, it doesn’t tell you what to do. Rather, it’s an educational approach rooted in Reggio Emilia, one that asks you to be respectful and mindful of your context and community…” — Tiziana Filippini, Pedagogista
Our Reggio Emilia inspired approach nurtures children through child-led, inquiry-based learning, fostering creativity and curiosity. It values each child’s unique capabilities and encourages exploration and self-expression in a supportive environment.
By combining elements of the EYFS framework with the principles of the Reggio Emilia approach, we create a nurturing and stimulating nursery environment that supports holistic development, particularly in the early years. Flexibility, creativity, and deep respect for children’s interests guide our planning and practice.
What Is It?

Learning Through Play

Learning through play allows children to learn through first-hand experiences that capture their imagination.
While children may feel they are “just playing,” this play is purposeful, structured, and thoughtfully planned by educators to support development, problem-solving, communication, and creativity.
